World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will gain 3percent of its previous damage for every time it is upgraded.

Best item upgrade upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to give them a stat boost or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the item to which it is applied (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using less Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade items increases the probability that a higher tier version of an item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even when they're not sure what can be improved upon a reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be costly and there is a significant chance that the item could become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failed upgrade will destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within the area around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.

In the endgame you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your equipment is to use Glyphs. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs and there are also a few rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Using Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level requires a different amount of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an individual player improves an item, the base item will be replaced by an item that is new. The same armor will receive the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This could be a drawback, as the item upgrade can become more expensive even if you do not need it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do so. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, with the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonuses. This can be useful however it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player continuously enters or exits water. It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the maximum roll by 10 points. This item can be extremely useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each each time you upgrade an item it is given a chance to fail--the failure rate increases the more you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any bonuses it gained such as crit chance, attack damage, and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is computed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item upgrader may have five upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player will have to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
