Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

Now is your chance to own a robotic vacuum cleaners vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most advanced robot vac to date is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often go through). It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so you can instruct the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't clean areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it using voice.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features an elegant, top piece that looks like toys rather than the loud and annoying robot vacuum cleaner top 10. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal System also self-empties, which will cut down your cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand that other robots couldn't do. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

Although it's not as smart as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the J7+ is a solid option for those who need both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know if the update is actually functioning until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the Best Value Robot Vacuum option is probably a hybrid. This kind of robot usually includes a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and even the capability to dry and wash mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it lacks some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few missing in corners and on walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using a handful of buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones or modify your home map or change the room's label.

If you choose the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for most people, but it's one that will aid in keeping the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is among the top in the market, but it's expensive.

It is a relatively small base station that looks great and is able to be concealed when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your best robot vacuum cleaner fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've tested that does an excellent job of removing the dust from floors with no. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It's also unable to climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a dock to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a robot vacuum that does everything.

However, if you're looking to save some cash or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other options on the market, including a lot of eufy models that cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper, but offers more features, including the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets with low pile, and even high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at an affordable price point. It's easy to setup, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed near an outlet with enough space to move.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be placed under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its competitors. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and where it can't access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.

The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, has a similar battery life, and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and comes with a set of boundary strips to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 however is less expensive and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and it's less difficulty with bulky items like cereal.
