The j7+, although not as smart as the $1,217 Roomba S9and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and cannot clean the stairs, it's an option for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know whether the update is working until you see it in the action.

If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the best smart vacuum choice is probably a hybrid. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is simple. It also has a large LCD display, which is nice to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't a necessity for most people however it will aid in keeping track of the maintenance intervals for your robot effortlessly.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the best in the industry, but it's expensive.
It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and can be hidden when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robot automatic vacuum I've tested that does a good job picking up debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's also not able to climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a clean zone for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for an automated vacuum that can do it all.
But if you want to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this self-cleaning robot vacuums, there are plenty of alternatives on the market, including a lot of eufy models that cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with more features, including stair climbing, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of carpets and hard flooring, and mopping capabilities at an affordable price. It's easy to set it up, simply attach one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then connect your charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet with plenty of room to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and will fit under many couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The main characteristic that distinguishes the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to draw an image of the unmovable objects in its path. It remembers the things it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its base and resumes cleaning where it began.
The eufy G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged faster and offers similar battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with the boundary strips to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with heavy materials such as cereal.
