The item upgrader is an additional widget at the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no benefit in terms of gameplay other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.

Boosters

There are many enhancements that can be obtained with an upgrader. These could include stats, as well as extra bonuses. These bonuses can be applied to weapons, armor, and trinkets. They can be used to enhance the abilities of the character, or can be added as an aspect of variety to an existing build.

The upgrade system in World of Warcraft allows players to upgrade the quality of their equipment by spending money at an upgrader for items NPC. This system first came into play in Mists of Pandaria, and continued with Warlords of Draenor. It is a convenient method to boost the level of your gear, allowing you to bypass the monotonous grind of questing and avoid a bunch of wipes in Mythicand dungeons.

When an item is upgraded its basic type will change. Upgrading a normal item will result in an item that is Exceptional while upgrading an item that is Exceptional will create an Elite version of the base item. The item will keep the stats it had prior to upgrading, and will also receive an additional bonus from its new base type. The bonus will be randomly chosen from the following options: an opportunity to acquire weapons with a greater damage range, a chance to obtain an enhanced reload speed or a chance to gain an increased defense roll.

The amount of upgrades you make will determine the amount of extras you will receive. Each upgrade will increase the extras by up to 3 points. In addition, each upgrade will also boost the main stat by one.

In addition to the stat increase, some upgrades will also provide a random boost. These boosts can be quite valuable and should be considered when deciding on which items to upgrade item. Some boosts are beneficial in certain builds (such as Whistan's shield for FB sorcs) while others could provide a great deal of value to specific collectors.

Certain items come with inherent boo, which is not beneficial when upgraded, like the Goldwrap that gives you additional slots for potion. They are usually upgraded to inject more value into a perfect or near-perfect item.

Costs

There are some costs associated with item upgrades. The first is the cost for the upgrade. This cost can be expensive and depends on the new value of the item and the number of perks it receives. It can also be expensive to upgrade an item to a higher tier (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of the items needed to upgrade. These items are typically Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons, or specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor Quests. These materials are available in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. It can take 8 hours, depending on the size of an upgrade. The base stats of the upgraded item are calculated based on the new ilvl as well as other properties. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, and other vital statistics. In some cases an upgrade may grant additional benefits. These perks are available in a list.

Rarely, the benefits obtained will cost more than one perk slot to acquire; in these situations, the upgrade will only replace the perks with the highest cost. The upgrader could also make other adjustments to the item level upgrade, for example, changing the type of damage it deals to its weapon, or adding or eliminating an operational or unwieldy option. These changes are based on an item's ilvl, and may require special materials, for instance the adamantine.

Success Rate

item upgrades (Click Link) are based on the chance of success, and as with any random system, there is the possibility that the upgrade will fail. There are several ways to increase the chances of success. This includes using an item known as an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of additional materials to the upgrade.

The Upgrade Pity is available from the NPC for smithing in Lost Ark. It increases the chance of an upgrade's success by an amount. This is similar to the luck bonus that certain items offer, but is more solid. This can be added to any weapons or armor and is used three times.

It is also possible to add a number of additional materials to the upgrade, which increases the chance of success. These are shown in a window above the + button. There are however limitations to this, and the maximum amount of material that can be added is shown just above the + button in the user interface.

A Blacksmith Blessing, or an upgraded version of it can be used to increase the odds of an upgrade being successful. This item can be useful if your weapon or piece is nearing or has reached the top level of its tier. It allows you to upgrade that piece of equipment to the next level without worrying about it breaking.

If an upgrade is unsuccessful it will be restored to its original condition. This is usually an error, but it can also be a downgrade. Save an upgrade until you're close to the maximum level of an item.

Kafra has a range of items that can be used to increase the chances of a successful upgrade. For example upgrading an equipment using HD Oridecon or HD Elunium repeatedly will give you a higher chance of success. Similarly, enhancing the chance to receive a Double Mint from Shoe-Minting a maximum of five times will also increase the success rate.

The higher the item's rank, the more Zeny and items will be needed to upgrade it.

This system can be quite expensive, particularly for top-of-the-line equipment. It can cost between 100,000 z and 100 Carnium to upgrade an armor or weapon. The rate of success decreases as you go up in rank. You can increase the likelihood of upgrading an item by making use of cash shop items.

The arrows on the left of the UI represent the various stages in the upgrade process. If you are not sure what you're doing, use the question mark icon for assistance. The process of upgrading can take anywhere from five to ten minutes.
