The best robot vacuum cleaner and mop Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention, and it will leave your floors spotless. Its affordable price and high-end functions (such as a dirt detector) are both positives.

Examine your robot's brush frequently for tangled debris and hair. Clean them as needed. Some models also self-empty their onboard dust bin into a larger one at the base, which decreases the amount of fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've test. They feature motors that are top-of-the quality and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other premium iRobots (including the most powerful model) they utilize intelligent mapping to design precise floorplans that avoid obstacles such as cords and furniture leg. The robots also come with Carpet Boost, a feature that increases its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.

Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our tests on floors that are bare and are particularly effective in removing pet hair. However, they do have a few flaws that keep them from being our top pick. One of the flaws of the Q5 is its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to get stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very well in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera that would let it see the corners of a room.

It's still a good deal for those whose office or home has a lot of bare floors and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and works while you are at work or in school. The only thing it lacks that you can't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective in mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying dock, though. If you're required to clean the mopping pad, it can be swapped for an awe-inspiring one in a matter of minutes.

2. iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to sweep floors. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and efficient in tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also has a self-emptying bin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot vacuums that mop hoover for carpets, although it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mops utilizes sensors that help it stay clear of obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the structure of your home over time to ensure better cleaning. The app lets you set up zones and modify the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average when compared to similar models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted space, you can tell it to take off and extend its mops. This can help avoid cross contamination. Its flex arm is also perfect for getting under furniture that is low and along baseboards. However, it doesn't have the same level of washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop that could complete the entire house with 66 percent of its battery left. It also did a great job cleaning a variety of rooms and floors with various flooring types, such as some area carpets. Its obstacle detection was top notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog turds, socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's a little more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically empties into its base, and it supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after it vacuums it, something hasn't been seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba than the competitors' compact models this mop and robot vacuum is one of the most appealing looking in our tests. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also among its most advanced. It has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that scored a perfect 10 in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully self-refill and empty its base station, and it boasts industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. It comes with an intuitive mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device which could be an issue if you use it in the morning before work or at night as you attempt to sleep.

It's also a bit expensive, but it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are similarly capable and better-looking. It's a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful however, it will cost you more and create more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot vacuum and mop. It has a number of advanced features that will make you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device like Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically empty the vacuum's bin and fills up the water tank, and washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floor plans and spot obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its top competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time detection of hazards, although this wasn't quite foolproof in our testing and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.

The vacuum has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to get the job done. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vac works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home depending on the degree of dirt they are.

If you own a larger home, it is worth selecting a model with a spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to tell the robot which area of your home must be cleaned by using the app or voice command. A stairway mode is beneficial if you have large furniture. Additionally the recharge and resume function that lets your robot autonomous vacuum pick up right where it left off is ideal for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is more advanced than its price would suggest. It is a great job cleaning, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using one pad and a reciprocating motion which is cleaner than the majority of the robot mop cleaners that we've tested. And it's highly self-sufficient with a full-featured app and an auto-emptying, washable base.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through an initial mapping session that collects data about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you mark on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or to organize an automatic spot-clean. It can also be used to it to prioritize your dirtiest areas for better performance. The app also provides access to a host of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, meaning it can reach corners and underneath furniture better. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction, as well as sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. You can also create a spot-cleaner that will thoroughly clean the area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras appear like cute eyes. It is great at vacuuming, but it is more likely to get caught in low thresholds. It is also noisier than other top robot vacuums that we have tested. It also has a less intuitive app and a tiny base station that doesn't double as a bin for emptying.
