However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to become stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people well in our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.

It's still a good deal particularly if your home or office has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save money. This mop and vacuum combination has a sleek, circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba model than the bulky models from the rivals. It's among our most attractive robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is also its smartest. It comes with advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot vacuum cleaner that can wash mop pads on its own).

It's also the sole robot vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot vacuum and mop. It has a range of advanced features that will make you forget about your chores. Like Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes care of both mopping and vacuuming, with a multi-function dock that automatically empty the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank, washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floor plans and spot obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its top competitors. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards however this was not foolproof in our tests and was often confused with power cords or obstructions.
