1. Roomba Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've test. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can produce up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other premium iRobots (including the most powerful model) they employ smart mapping to produce precise floorplans and avoid household obstacles such as cords and furniture leg. They also have carpet boost which boosts the robot's power when it detects a lot of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned up quickly.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on bare floors They are also adept in cleaning hair from dogs. However, they do have a few flaws however, which hinder them from being our top option. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to get stuck on socks and shoes and could not navigate through rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It also doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of an area.
It's still a great deal particularly if your home or office has lots of unfinished floors and you want to save some money. It's also very quiet and works while you are at work or in school. The only thing it's missing that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying dock, though. And, if you have to, you can swap the mopping pad for dry ones in a matter of just a few seconds.
2. iRobot Roomba

However, it's not equipped with the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ as well as the iRobot Combo j9+.
During tests, X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to sweep the entire house and had 66 percent of its battery remaining. It did a good cleaning job on a variety of floors and rooms with different flooring types, including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it was nimbly avoiding fake dog socks, turds, and bundles of cables.

This is due to a combination high-tech sensors including a structured light system, camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mops.
The X40, like other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It has an easy mobile application interface, and it integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that it's loud which could be problematic if you run it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you try to fall asleep.
It's also somewhat expensive, although it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally capable and better-looking. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful however it's going to cost you more and produce more noise.
4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot vacuum and mop. It has a number of features that are advanced and will make you forget about your chores. Similar to Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes care of both mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multifunction dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank and cleans and dry its mop pads.

This allows you to instruct the robot on which part of your home needs to be cleaned with the help of an app or voice control. A stair mode can be beneficial if you have large furniture. Finally, a recharge and resume function that allows your robot vacuum cleaner reviews vacuum to take over exactly where it left off is ideal for busy families.
5. iRobot Roomba RX3
The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you would think from its price. It's a pro at cleaning, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using a single pad and a rotating motion that is more efficient than most of the robot mop cleaners that we've tried. It's also self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and an auto-emptying, washable base.
The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate the mapping process, which gathers information on your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, plan an area for cleaning or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt for better performance. The app also grants access to many features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.
It is also able to reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a powerful 8000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs for pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that will thoroughly clean an area.
