World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra effect while they're in use. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can be prefixed or a suffix, modifying the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for instancethe "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of an item will be revealed at the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even when they're not sure what can be improved upon an update.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a substantial risk that the item may become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failure to upgrade can ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

In the endgame, you will often find that the Best item upgrader way to enhance your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a statistic by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs, and there are some rare glyphs to be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, which is why it is best to place Glyphs in the most important spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or purchased from some NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item it is replaced by a new item of the same type. The same armor will receive a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This can be a downside since the item may become more expensive even if you do not require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will come with a level 1 base and a completely different set of bonuses. This is a good idea, but should not be repeated often since it can waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or swims like dolphins). This item can be upgraded several times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is highly important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of its non-upgraded version.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currency to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item returning to its original condition which means that the player has to purchase more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item upgrades is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned, such as crit chance attack damage, additional effects (such as increased heal over time, or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item upgrade is dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. However, players must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
