20 Resources That Will Make You Better At Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft - item upgrades Upgrading
The upgrade of an item upgrader mod lets players boost an item's gear rating up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For instance the perfect roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't change much after an upgrade, and aren't worth the cost.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats like damage to attack, crit chance, PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition, many weapons have an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a unit. This bonus may be more than the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can do.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity as well as its current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.
Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. While this is generally an excellent thing but it can also have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can make things unusable, unless you are exceptionally lucky.
Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their performance. In the case of chests or helms it will boost its defense base while gloves and belts increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it could reroll to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain after upgrading along with the relative value of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will strike 3 times less often, since it is an absolute statistic.
Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button on the item upgrader mod menu, using the arrows that are circling. This will roll an item and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's level or bind it to account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference to your survival. Certain sets offer massive increases in poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, making the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the greater health you can gain from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.
To improve your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and to unlock each fountain, you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees required to complete each will vary. In general, you're looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a good-sized group of adversaries in most cold climates, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive a full on raid with a few friends.
It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll have to focus on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of a Mage. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear by the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also get some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll generally want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades for the helmets and chest armor to allow you to escape some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by the player, provide a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five different types of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.
Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP, which can be earned by crafting them on a table or in the Alchemist's chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion used and the item's Rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens a GUI where you can select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll yield when upgraded. Upgrading potions can be done in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP count.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change its name.
Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the way potions are used. For instance, splash potions now have a duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds shown on the item level upgrade hover display). The table of potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be mixed in cauldrons. The same is true for using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will draw out the potion, and refill the bottle.
In addition, there are simmering potions made using dragon breath and splash potions. Similarly, a lingering potions effect can be extended by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a tiny and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant like a thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is used to show affection or friendship between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons, armor, and potions. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets are able to be traded out at any time without losing their stats.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered with tokens, gold or fragments of trinkets that are rare.
Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a brand new trinket. It can be done by a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl of the old one, and will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Once the old Trinkets have become no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries, and finally other items of gear they will not be replacing in the near future (for example an earring or cloak). When choosing which items to upgrade players should also consider the class's preferred stats. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for a tank player then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm and shoulders.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher level once they no longer have value and the new trinket will receive an additional upgrade bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade is likely to destroy the old trinket in the event that it is not salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying the new one.
