World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade you choose, it may increase an item's Rarity or Mark Level and increase other stats.

Each Best item upgrader has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a specific amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's stats base increases as it is upgraded. This value is the sum of all of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive depending on who you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to the fact that many perks must be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.

Item level is a popular measure of power, and can be seen on all item tooltips. It is also used to limit how much PvP gear players are able to wear as PvP is restricted at lower levels. The average level of an item can be found in the character sheet.

When deciding to purchase or sell equipment, players can compare the levels of the item. It's an indicator of the damage and quality. The item level can also be used to compare items when evaluating a vendor's inventory.

On your PC, you can view the item level using ALT, or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the complete description of the item, including its ilvl. It can also be found by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor, and then entering /itemlevel into chat.

There are a variety of theories on the method by which the level of an item is determined. One theory states that the level of an item is calculated using a formula that calculates how valuable an item's stats actually are. It takes into consideration the fact that different perks have different values and sockets have gems that increase the item's overall value. This can result in a calculated item's ilvl that is often very close to Blizzard's actual level of the item.

This isn't the only thing that affects the value of an item. The level of the area where the item was dropped can change its stats. For example, it could increase the item's haste or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

The item's stats can be the difference between a good or bad item upgrader kit for players. The game uses a variety of them in different ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the Best item upgrader." The base stats on a weapon are enhanced by the weapon's stat mods that are in turn increased by the player's skill.

The upgrades to items add by boosting certain stats on the item. The cost of upgrades is determined by the rarity of the item. An item that is white or grey for instance, will only be upgraded one time and items with rare tiers may be upgraded several times at higher costs.

Affixes are a different method to change an item's stats. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can be used to give items additional damage, special abilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs), or to make them unique by naming them.

At present, all affixes can be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button with the arrows that circle. This will cost a specific amount in gold and items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges, as with other methods of rerolling.

Players can upgrade an item to a specific stat or reroll the affixes. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However every item will contain at least one stat within the range, unless they are a unique item or a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

Another thing that could change is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to reroll the attachments, or pick which stats to increase. But as with base equipment, this would need to be done on a per-item basis and the interface for item comparison will not show all the stats that could be that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player boosts the probability of obtaining items and the properties that are generated by loot, and the intensity of these properties. It does not, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player the chance to upgrade equipment earlier in the game. This is especially beneficial in early game runs because players tend to put the scaling of weapons and defenses over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the probability of being successful when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall Upgrade item probability that increases with each level and can be further increased through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

The shields, armor and weapons have the default Luck value of 40. These items can then be upgraded with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to boost the Luck of an item up to 140.

Certain items, such as the Hollow-infused weapon can also be outfitted to increase the damage dealt by any skill that causes damage by 5percent. These items can be purchased in the shop, or they can be constructed using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items can be expensive and not all upgrades will be successful. Cash shop items can be used to increase the chances of success for an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their item in the event that it is not successful.

When you upgrade an item the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special materials. The probability of success can only be increased as much, and the chance that the upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%.

The Luck of an item can affect the effectiveness of an upgrade. Each item has a base success rate of 25%, and every item that has Luck increases the chance of success by 5percent.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the items in the inventory which means that enchantment glints and other effects can be obstructed by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
