However, unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots we tested, the i3+ doesn't have obstacle-avoidance capabilities, so it may get stuck on things such as power cords or socks, and it may have trouble in navigating through transitions between surfaces like hardwood to rug.
iRobot recommends you clear out areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, which includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it may encounter. Also, keep the dustbin and filters free of dirt to prevent them from getting blocked. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or its battery is low it goes back to its docking station and automatically empties its dirt into the station's dust bin, and then continues cleaning the area where it began. The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor plans and their names with Imprint Smart Mapping, which lets it create maps of rooms so that it can clean them more efficiently. The i7+ is more efficient and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin, which eliminates the main sources of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.
We were also impressed with the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to start or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room and even vacuum a specific area. In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and cleaned up 86% of dog hair (on carpet). However, it didn't do particularly well at avoiding higher-up objects like cords or socks which was a disappointment. It's priced higher than other models that we tested, and this could be a deterrent for some buyers.
