Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item level upgrade can be enhanced by upgrading it, also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment boosts a stat linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time in order to gain a level gauge for each of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling a piece of equipment increases according to their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item upgrades is a method to boost the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished by a number of means such as using upgrade components as well as upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. In addition to this, many items can be reforged, which can boost their stats even more.

You can purchase upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available in all over the world and are rewards for missions. They can also be crafted by players. Upgrade components are the primary method of upgrading equipment. These are the items that slot into equipment. Most equipment has slots to upgrade and some require a specific level of upgrade. Some upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others give general bonuses.

There are several types of upgrade components in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gemstones and enchantments, can be placed on any type of equipment and offer lower bonuses than upgrades that are specific to equipment. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools and offer a variety of bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed of an item's gathering to providing additional crafting materials.

To upgrade an item, select it in your inventory and open the Upgrade window. The preview will be displayed on the right-hand side of the screen. It will display the expected stats following the upgrade. If you don't possess enough of either the upgrade button will be marked as Blocked.

The number of upgrade components needed for a particular item can be seen in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The price of an upgrade increases with the level and rarity of the item. However, you can reduce the cost of upgrades by purchasing them from a vendor or trading them with other players.

Most weapons can be upgraded with the use of a prefix upgrade, such as an insignia, or a rune, and many can be upgraded with suffix upgrades. These upgrades add an adjective to the name of the item, such as "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a powerful instrument for communicating visual information. They move to catch the attention of the viewers and trigger interest in the brain. The glyphs' animation mimics body language, which makes them more effective at conveying a message across linguistic barriers. Glyphs also improve the likelihood of remembering a message by evoking an experience of familiarity in the brain.

Each glyph has a set of values that it could enhance a stat, as shown on the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an Artifact. This is not the exact amount at the glyph can increase the stat, but rather the maximum amount by which it can do so. The value of the glyph depends on the tier and the quality of the item you are in awe of.

Most upgrade components slotted into items are not able to be replaced or salvaged without removing the gear in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a glyph or rune you don't want to use, but it's not been applied to the gear yet, you can move the item to another piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu in the Glyphs Panel. This will create a new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you wish to remove the glyph from an item you must salvage it using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. This will destroy the item that it was installed in, but you can recover the upgraded item by using the glyph and its fragments, so this should not be considered as a loss.

When you remove an item after putting a glyph on it, the shards from the glyph will disappear. You can also add an inscription on your equipment to provide a bonus. Deferred Damage, for example, can store damage and be distributed slowly to the wearer instead of all at one time. This can be helpful for players who take lots of damage from their enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens permit players to alter the affixes on their weapons and equipment, and can be found through a variety of methods like mistery boxes or as a rare drop from skulled creatures, or even from killing bosses. Each reroll token grants players a new random affix that is usually better than the original one. Reroll tokens can also be a good method to reroll the stats of a weapon, which can be upgraded to provide better damage or other perks.

Items that have been rerolled do not appear in the upgrade menu, however, they can still receive upgrades. By pressing the "upgrade button" you can recycle the items that have been rerolled. This will alter the layout of the item's window and let up to six items to be selected to recycle. The level gauge is increased by recycling an item. The amount is determined by the item's rarity and its level, which means higher-level items are more useful to recycle than lower-level ones.

In addition to reroll tokens, players can use Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the Weapon Traits of an upgraded unit. Rerolls roll the percentage chance of a particular weapon trait. If it is higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower, the weapon remains unchanged. Weapons can be repeatedly rolled up to three times.

Rerolling is an excellent method to improve an item. However, players must be aware of the fact that the total ilvl will be decreased by the number of that it took to reroll it to the final ilvl. This effect is most noticeable on Diadems and Rings, since they have no other options to raise the ilvl.

Players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It's better to let people pay for it using money or food items that allows players to make adjustments to their builds without spending excessive amounts of time. However, paid rerolls are not something the developers want to implement at this time in the game's development. Instead, they're planning include a race change potion in the near future.

Leveling

There are many ways to increase the level of an item upgrade. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade that increases the value of an upgrade for any stat. The second is to boost the effect of upgrading that increases the healing or damage of a specific stat. The base item can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. Once this is done, the new item upgrader kit will keep its iLevel however it will have the upgrade effects of the upgraded type of item.

When you upgrade items it is essential to keep in mind that upgrades aren't always planned. Most of the time, a higher roll is determined by glyphs. However, there are times when a greater or special roll could occur. Additionally, the iLevel of the upgrade will be determined by the type of item which means that if you upgrade a rare or unique item to a unique type you has a chance to get a higher iLevel.

Upgrades can be costly Particularly if you're upgrading gear from the standard track to legendary. The cost of upgrading an item will be contingent on its base iLevel as well as the amount of upgrade levels. In addition, some upgrade tracks require crests in order to get to the next upgrade level.

If you're lucky, your upgraded item will be at the highest level on its upgrade item track and gain an additional bonus effect. This will result in a significant boost in the upgrade value of the item. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level, though. In general, the effect of upgrading is increased by +3.

Based on the item's level of base and upgrade path, the iLevel of the upgraded item will also change. For example an item upgraded from being a rare or unique item to an outstanding one is likely to gain the Enhanced Defense of the new base item.
