Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our tests on floors that are bare and are particularly effective in removing pet hair. However, they do have some flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. It also comes with a self-emptying bin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robotic hoover for carpets but it isn't as effective as some of its competitors in terms of deep cleaning.
This highly efficient mop and vacuum combination utilizes advanced sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste, and it also learns your home's layout over time for more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to customize zones and change the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average compared to other models.
You can tell the X30 Ultra to remove its mop and extend them when in a room with carpet which prevents cross-contamination. Its obstacle detection was superb, and it avoided fake dog turds and socks, shoes and bundles cables.
It's a little more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after it vacuums, a feature that hasn't been seen in other robot vacuum/mop combinations.
3. IRobot Roomba X40
The robot vacuum and mop combination is sleek and has a circular design that appears much like a Roomba model than the boxy units of the competition. It's among our most attractive robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is its most advanced and has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).
It's the only robot vacuum/mop that has a perfect 10 in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, including a camera, structured light system and multiple lasers.
