This Is The History Of Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrade lets players boost an item upgrading's gear rating up 700 points and also give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory and heading to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For example the perfect broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade, and aren't worth the cost.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats such as the chance to crit, attack damage, PvE and PvP damage. Weapons also have an unchanging bonus that increases their damage per second. In addition, many weapons have a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are present on a unit. In some instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon upgrades on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For example an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. While this is usually beneficial, it can have some negative consequences too. Upgrades can render items inaccessible, unless you're extremely lucky.
The ability to upgrade armor items to boost their performance. This can increase the base defense of a chest or helm while belts and gloves will increase their required strength and agility. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it could change its roll to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain after upgrading, along with the relative values of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will be hit for 3 times less often as it is an absolute statistic.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button that has circling arrows in the menu for items. The item will be rerolled and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's level or bind it to account status.
Armor
Making a few improvements to your armor could make a a huge difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets can offer massive increases in resistance to curses, poison, fire, and magic. This makes it easier to get through difficult areas. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has, the more value you can get out of each point of health you have, so it's important to improve your armor as much as you can.
To upgrade your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all and each one requires you to complete a special side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and mastered the fountain in question, you can then speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade the next one. For instance the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a good-sized group of enemies in most cold environments and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, granting the protection needed to survive an entire raid with a few of your friends.
Be aware that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll have to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're a Mage. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also gain perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have a few upgrades of the helmets and chest armor that allow you to stealth around some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by a participant, produce a temporary effect. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to enhance their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be obtained by making them on a crafting table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion as well as the item's Rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI in which you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will produce when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you take it out again or break the bottle within which it is stored. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change the name of the potion.
There were some changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for instance are now available with a time of that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the Best item upgrader. The table for potion is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. Similarly, using a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the potion and refills the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are made using splash and dragon breath potions. Similar to lingering potions, the' effect is extended by adding redstone to it. The potion table is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping and the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a tiny and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an object or ornament that has a purpose but is not important as a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket can be used to express affection or friendship between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their status.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a new trinket. It can be done by a player for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same base level as the old trinket but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.
Trinkets can be upgraded once they're no longer needed and allows players to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded between players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most important items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, then their secondaries, and finally other pieces of gear that will not be replaced soon (for instance rings or cloaks). When deciding on which items to upgrade, players should consider the class's preferred stats. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should prioritize upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher ilvl after they're no longer needed, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. A re-upgrade, however, will destroy the trinket unless it is saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades but still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
