The Advanced Guide To Robot Vacuum And Mop
Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
robot vacuum with mop vacuums and mops are increasingly capable, acing our tests of cleaning and tackling different types of floors. Look for models that let you choose from a variety of modes, and use their charging docks to self-empty and clean up the stairs.
Many of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an app that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar for navigation making maps of floors and rooms.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms and also a carpet in the middle and a large area. It was able to drive close to walls and even cross thresholds that are raised without issue. However it was a bit difficult navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and swung up when it reached carpets or carpets.
The S1's docking station automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water prior to each mopping session. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 mopping sessions, however this will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming blocked. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. However, overall the S1 is simple to maintain, especially when compared to other combinations that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a powerful option for your cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum cleaner vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with many innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans furniture. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of simply drag a pad across a surface. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station when needed.
The robot is simple to set up and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the process. It includes an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot isn't able to reach and two water tanks that are automatically empty and filled whenever needed. It comes with a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a good vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction which can effortlessly remove dirt and other debris that other robots have difficulty with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs at my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are very good with a pair of spinning mop heads that lift and scrub the floor instead of simply drag the pad across it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station as needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship model of robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-off maintenance, making it a clear contender on our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush guarantee a thorough, custom-designed clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It is a great choice on carpets and hard floors. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently while avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that moves out to get into areas that are difficult to reach and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation is nimble, navigating tight spaces and climbing the stairs without a hitch. It can move from one room to another without needing to reverse the direction. This is a great feature for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than other models However, it tends to leave a thick distance around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
Its app has a streamlined and intuitive interface that will be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleaning tasks. You can also alter suction power, mop setting, and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for live video surveillance. You will need a stable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
Robot vacuums are excellent at removing dirt and debris but they can't reach all dust. That's why it's important to make use of your regular vacuum once a week, especially to pick up dust in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed specifically for this purpose. It's easy to connect it to your home WiFI network and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it doesn't have mopping capabilities, and also has a plastic body.
Even though it's not able to clean your floors, the Q5 still has some of the best mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robot at this price. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa, and an automatic vacuum cleaner and mop empty system that means you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It comes with a smart app which allows you to schedule cleanings and set the floor type. It also features an automatic vacuum cleaner water tank filling and washing system that is hands-free.
The mops also stand out with its 2700Pa capacity to tackle dirt and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested did not show problems with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it could not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise, since it does NOT include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we have tested. It also uses a unique system to map your home this allows it to get into places that other vacuums cannot reach. It also has a larger bin, so you don't have to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters which further reduces costs. This robot can also detect carpets and boost the suction if required. You can also mark areas you want the robot to avoid using the app.
