However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to getting stuck on shoes and socks and couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people efficiently during our tests. It also doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of the room.
It's still a good value for those whose office or home has a lot of bare floors and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and works while you are at work or school. The only thing it doesn't have that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. If you want to change the mopping pad for a dry one in just a few seconds.

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can mop floors. It is able to clean floors even after it vacuums. This is something we haven't seen before on other robotic vacuum/mop combos.
3. Roomba X40 from iRobot
With an elegant, circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba rather than the boxes, this robot vacuum and mop combo is among the most attractive looking models in our reviews. The newest model from iRobot is its most advanced model, with features that are cutting-edge like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).
It's the only robotic vacuum/mop to score an exemplary 10/10 in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.
The X40 as with other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It comes with a simple mobile app interface that integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This can be a problem in the mornings before work or in the evening when you're trying to sleep.
It's also quite expensive, although it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally powerful and look better. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that is very efficient however it's going to cost you more and produce more noise.
iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot vacuum and mop. It has a number of advanced features that help you forget your chores. Similar to Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes charge of both mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multifunction dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and dry the mop pads.
The smart robot makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its premium competitors. And it's highly self-sufficient with a fully-featured app as well as a self-emptying, washable base.

It does a good job vacuuming, but is more prone to be caught by low thresholds and is a bit louder than the other top robot vacuums we've tested. It also has an app that's not as intuitive, and a smaller base station that can't double as a bin to empty.
