best robot vacuum Robot Vacuums and Mop Systems
This vacuum cleaner is an excellent choice for those who live in apartments as it has an economized docking system and has its own garbage bin. The app allows you to select different modes and monitor cleaning, plus the mopping function is impressive.
Its mapping, obstacle avoidance, and mops are impressive. It is able to pick up pet hair, spillages, and dirt. It also self-empties, self-cleans and refills its tank.
iRobot Roomba Combo
The iRobot Combo adds mopping to the already impressive vacuuming capabilities of the robot. It's not quite able to compete with our current Editors' Choice, the Deebot X1 Omni, which scrubs more and has an app for mobile that is simpler to use but it does make an excellent alternative. In our tests it was consistently able to remove dirt of all sizes and types from carpets and hard floors. Its obstacle avoidance may not be as advanced as other systems like LiDAR or structured light, but it manages to prevent most collisions.
The Combo has the same smarts as the j7 Plus, including the latest onboard acoustic sensors that identify the type of floor and AI-powered navigation, but lacks the ability to set suction power manually. It's also less compact than its vacuum-only counterpart and it doesn't have an auto-empty dock.
The Combo is one of my favorites for most homes. Its sleek design is also among the best I've seen. The matte black finish is more sophisticated than the glossy or metallic finishes of the majority of competitors. iRobot also adds some classier touches, such as the leather tab to open the bin that is onboard and a shelf that can hold bags in the dock. The iRobot Combo also allows you to create maps of your home, and to create Keep-Out Zones and No-Mop Zones and Clean Zones.
Roborock
Roborock, a relatively new player in the robotic mop and vacuum industry has already made its mark with an array of cutting-edge cleaning technologies. The vacuums are renowned for their suction power, while mopping systems from the company come with vibrating mops that can scrub floors to remove dirt. Plus, a wide range of scheduling and mapping options allow you to fine-tune the cleaning schedule of the bot to your particular home.
Another outstanding Roborock feature is obstacle avoidance which allows the robot to detect objects that are lower than its height. This is particularly beneficial for the most well-known Roborock models, such as the Qrevo Master, which is top of its class in terms of navigation, thanks to both vSLAM and LiDAR. Other robovacs have been often seen to crash into furniture and run over pet faeces without noticing, but the Qrevo Master solves this problem with a Reactive AI system that makes use of twin cameras to discern objects in a room.
Roborock robots are equipped with a variety of features that make it easier to manage maintenance. These include docks that are auto vacuum and mop-emptied and mop-washing stations with many functions. These remove the need to manually empty dustbins and wash mops, resulting in a truly hands-off ownership experience. The app is easy to use thanks to its simple design and lag-free connection to the robot.
Hobot Legee D8
With a range of cleaning options and advanced mopping features, the Hobot Legee is among the best robot vacuums/mops for both wet and dry floors. Its advanced navigation system integrates five technologies to design and follow the most efficient route. It can also identify different flooring materials and recognise obstacles with pinpoint accuracy. It can even lift itself 7mm to glide across carpets. Smart spray system makes the right amount of water for stain removal without leaving water marks.
The Legee is a Gen 4 Robot, competes directly against the Eufy Robovac X9 or Ecovacs Deebot T20. Both of them cost more. It has more features than either of them with a more flexible D-shaped body that can clean the corners and under cabinets better than a round robot. Its sensors include 360deg 3D (Lidar, Encoder, Gyro E-compass) four forward-facing sensors, one right-side-facing FDS (IR ToF sensors for distance) and two Cliff detectors, front and back (most robots only have one pair). It also includes Legee SLAM to reduce the bump-and-grind issues that cause problems for Gen 4 robots.
The Legee is different from other robots due to the fact that it has a trash compactor built-in and uses the quieter 5 GHz band of Wi-Fi. The LuLu mop cleaning station washes, refills, and dry the mop's 'cloth'. The mop can be used up to six-times longer than you would with other mops. It also reduces the amount of waste and frequency with the frequency of emptying bins.
Karcher RCV 5
Known for its pressure washers and garden tools, Karcher has been dabbling in robot vacuums for quite a time and this is their most advanced model. It creates maps for your home with LiDAR, and can be programmed either to vacuum or mop. It also differentiates between hard floors and carpets and prevent the dreaded puddles on your carpet.
Its navigation is flawless that can avoid carpets or furniture with ease. It can even lift itself up over steps. The robot vacuum cleaner reviews is programmable with a variety of settings, including cleaning schedules as well as the rooms it will clean. It has an 'emergency button' that forces the robot to return home when its power goes out. It can be programmed to turn off automatically when an approaching storm is detected.
The RCV 5 is easy to use and, while large at almost 4kg, it's not difficult to manoeuvre around furniture. Parents of small children will appreciate the safety features such as sensors that warn it to avoid steps. Once charged the device will take only several hours to fully charge, and the two buttons at the top will blink in green to indicate that it is now ready to use.
Mova E30 Ultra
The Mova E30 Ultra is a robot vacuum cleaner that blends modern cleaning technology with affordability. It's a competitor to models such as the Dreame L10 Ultra and Roborock's Q Revo. The Mova E30 Ultra is a cheaper model, but it offers features that are not offered in other models. It utilizes sensors to alter the settings for various floors and surfaces and also to find areas with dirtier surfaces. It can also move slower to avoid damaging furniture or walls.
The device can map the interior of your home, which you can view through the app. You can also mark specific areas and objects that you want the vacuum to stay clear from. The vacuum will slow down when it detects an obstacle, and will stop from bumping into it. It also has a an intelligent dustbin that will notify you when it's empty, so you can empty it on time.
The Mova E30 Ultra offers a cost-effective option for those who wish to delegate their daily cleaning tasks. It's a robot mop and vacuum that can clean your floors without having to lift a finger. It also features a clever design that increases the efficiency of cleaning corners by up to 60 percent. It comes with a suction capacity of up to 7,000 Pa and RoboSwing arm, which can be controlled via the app or voice assistants like Alexa or Siri.
Beko RCV3
The Beko RCV3 is a sleek and feature-packed hybrid robot mop/vac that does a fantastic job of keeping floors clean and span. It's not able to lift its mop to clean carpets and rug as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV ultra, however, it is extremely effective in cleaning hard floors. It comes with a self-emptying bin, a superior level of suction, an array of mopping options, and a high-quality app that works both on iOS and Android.
It's smaller than the other models and its main brush is smaller however, it did to do a good job in our test room. The edge brush that rotates on the side is a nice addition. Although it wasn't able to remove dirt as well as other competitors, it performed well.
The individual cleaning parameters can be pre-set for each room, and the device will automatically create detailed maps of rooms using built-in LiDAR navigation. The application is simple to use and provides various voice output options that can keep you informed of the status of your robot. Regular software updates enhance and extend the performance. The app can also be used to remotely manage the RCV3 when you're away from home.
