The Best Robot Hoover

The Best robot vacuum cleaner UK robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention, and it will leave your floors clean. Its surprisingly affordable price and features that are high-end (such as dirt detection) are great features.

Make sure to check your robot's brushes frequently for tangled debris and hair. Clean them as needed. Some models will automatically empty their onboard dust bin into a larger bin in the base, which reduces the amount of fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive sibling the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic hoovers vacuums we've tested. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can generate up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. As with other top iRobot models (including the top-rated model) they employ intelligent mapping technology to create detailed floor plans that avoid home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also feature a feature called carpet boost that boosts the robot's performance when it spots an abundance of dirt on the carpet to get it cleaned quickly.

Both the Q5 and the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our floor tests that test for bare floors, and they're particularly adept in removing pet hair. They do have some flaws, however, that prevent them from being our first choice. For one, the Q5's navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to get caught up in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate tightly packed rooms very well in our tests. It doesn't also have a camera to see around corners.

However, it's a good choice for those who want to save money on a iRobot Roomba and you have a mostly bare-floor home or office. Additionally, it's quiet and can work while you're at work, or going to school. The only thing it lacks that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 comes with a self-emptying cradle however. If you're required to, the mopping pad can be changed for a wet one in seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to sweep floors. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it simple to clean and efficient at tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also has a self-emptying bin with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot vacuum that mops robot hoover for carpets but it falls behind some competitors when it comes to deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop uses sensors to keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time and ensure cleaner and more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to customize zones and change the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average compared to other models.

If the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to take off and extend its mops. This helps prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm is also ideal to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It's not as efficient on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During tests, X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to complete the task of cleaning a whole home with just 66 percent of its battery remaining. It also did a great job cleaning a variety of floors and rooms with various flooring types, such as certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was great and it was able to avoid fake dog turds and socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's a little more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but has superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after it vacuums, a feature that we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant, circular design that looks like a regular Roomba rather than the boxy units this robot vacuum and mop combo is among the most attractive looking models in our reviews. iRobot's latest flagship model also happens to be its smartest, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's also the sole robot vacuum or mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our tests. This is due to the combination of high-tech sensors, including a structured lighting system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely self-refill and empty its base station, and it has an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

Like other iRobot models as well, the X40 is easy to use, offering an easy mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only drawback is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This can be a problem in the mornings prior to work or in the evening when you're trying to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, though it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are similarly capable and more attractive. If you're willing to put up with a little more noise and a little more cost, this is a very powerful two-in-one that will delight most.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot mop and vacuum. It comes with a variety of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device that is similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and fills up the water tank, and washes and drys mop pads.

The smart robot uses an array of LIDAR and structured light to draw out floor plans and identify obstacles, and navigates more effectively than its top rivals. It also comes with a front-mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time, though this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and could be confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum has a suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to complete the task. It also has a feature known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for various areas of the house depending on how dirty those areas are.

For larger homes, it's worth opting for models that has zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot to clean a particular area of your house using the app or voice commands. If you have lots of furniture, a stairway mode is also useful. Additionally a recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum with mop vacuum take over exactly where it left off is great for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is more sophisticated than its price suggests. It vacuums well, picking up 55% debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with one pad, which uses an oscillating motion that cleans better than most of the other robot mop cleaners we've tested. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a fully-featured application, and a self-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to guide you through the mapping process which collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. You can use it to make cleaning schedules, set up a spot clean or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt for better performance. The app also grants access to a host of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, meaning it can reach corners and under furniture more easily. It is equipped with a powerful 8000 Pascal suction, as well as sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot clean that intensely cleans a localized area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker, cheaper alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive design, similar to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are shaped like adorable eyes. It does a good job vacuuming, but is more prone to get caught on low thresholds and is a bit noisier than the other top robotic vacuums we've examined. It also comes with an app that's not as intuitive, and a smaller base station that doesn't double as a bin to empty.
