Top Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos

Robots aren't quite as adept at picking up debris like screws made of metal or pasta pieces. However, they are excellent at brushing away pet hair, dust, and crumbs. The best automatic Floor cleaner models have intelligent navigation systems, which helps them avoid cords, toys and other obstacles in the household.

1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ is an excellent robot vacuum that comes with several smart features that make it easier to maintain. The automatic floor cleaner bin emptying feature is one of the most useful features we've encountered in the form of a robot, and it works well with hard floors as well as carpets. It's also simple to set up and use, with the app guiding you step-by-step through the procedure. Another notable feature is the ability to return to the spot where it left off in our tests--it did this for 77 minutes in one cleaning before running out of battery.

Contrary to other robovacs that we evaluated, the i3+ EVO features an automatic emptying bin that dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's full. This reduces hands-on maintenance and helps keep the i3+ EVO from overfilling, but it still needs to be manually cleaned after each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dust bin can hold 2.4L that is enough to last through four to five cleaning sessions.

Similar to the i7, this model also uses the latest floor sensors to create maps and navigate in neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores one map, while the i7 can store multiple. The i7 is also able to utilize its map to create no-go zones and virtual barriers, however the i3+ EVO cannot.

While the i3+ EVO is superior in removing debris on surfaces than the other robovacs we reviewed, it's not the best when it comes to cleaning edges and corners. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being remarkably quiet. It was quite rough on furniture as it moved chairs away. It also caused collisions against the sides of the bed.

2. Black & Decker Pro Q5

The Q5 Pro is an excellent choice, whether you are expanding your robot vacuum collection or just starting out. It packs a lot of power, advanced navigation and easy automation into a sleek design for a reasonable price. It's the best value for the money available at the moment and even beats the Roborock models that are more expensive in a variety of ways.

This robot does an excellent job of cleaning floors with no dust and its avoidance system assists it in avoiding furniture legs and other obstacles. It also does well on carpets and scores an excellent score in our tests of navigation. The only issue is that it's noisier than other models and doesn't perform as well in our satisfaction of the owner and predicted reliability tests.

The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust container of 770ml. This means you won't need to empty it as frequently as other 2-in-1 robots. The Q5 Pro's 240-minute running time is also impressive when compared to other 2-in-1 robots we tested. If the battery is low, it will automatically return to its dock, where it recharges and resumes self cleaning vacuum where it began. You can control the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

This is one of the first robots we've seen incorporate 3D mapping. This along with other advances has helped it perform exceptionally well in our vacuuming tests and mopping test. It allows you to schedule cleaning times, set no-go zones, and check the battery's status among other things. The app is easy to use, but it isn't compatible with Apple HomeKit which is slated to be added in 2025. Apple changed its footnote on its website in early November to reflect that the feature was delayed until 2025. HomeKit isn't compatible with several other robots, but Siri Shortcuts are.

3. TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus

The Tapo RV30 Plus TP-Link robot vacuum cleaner is an excellent option if you're searching for a robot that is able to mop and is priced reasonably. It features a sleek design and amazing features for the money. You can control the device with different buttons on the machine or through the app, and even use voice commands. The device is powered by batteries, and the vacuum container is able to automatically empty itself.

The TP-Link RV30 Plus does a very good robot vacuum job at vacuuming standard messes and is suitable for light mopping on hard floors. It comes with a new sweeping brush and mopping cloth, aswell being an HEPA-filter. It can be combined with a smart home hub such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for convenient voice control. The TP-Link RV30 Plus can be easily set up, and connected to a variety of floor surfaces with the automatic mode. This assures that the optimal results are achieved in every room and floor.

You can select from three cleaning modes that will meet your requirements. The vacuuming mode uses the smart sensor for detection of obstacles such as furniture, stairs and edges. The mopping mode can be utilized to automatically clean the floor or to remove stubborn stains and liquid spills. You can combine both features to provide the most thorough and thorough cleaning.

With a powerful suction, and 3 settings for dry mopping, the TP-Link RV30 Plus quickly picks up pet hair, dust, crumbs and other debris from all flooring types. The device can even clean carpets without damaging them due to the special mop.

In its initial mapping run, TP-Link RV30 Plus scans your home and stores it by using its dual navigation system that consists of LiDAR and Gyro. You can alter the map in the app and merge or split rooms according to your preference. You can also build virtual walls and no-go zones that will stop the RV30 Plus from straying into areas you do not want to be in.

4. Eufy iMop

The Eufy iMop robot vacuum and mop is among the top fully-featured robots for flooring made of hard wood. It comes with a sophisticated navigation system that does an outstanding job of mapping your home's layout and even across several floors. The base station is well-designed and can automate cleaning to a great extent. It also offers impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance.

This model uses a dToF internal LiDAR sensor to map your home, creating efficient cleaning routes. The iMop was rated highly for its navigation and coverage. It also did a great job avoiding obstacles like furniture. It's also able to find its way back to the base station which is a nice feature in the event that it's running out of battery during a cleaning session.

The spot cleaning mode lets you to clean a specific area of your floor. And it can be manually programmed to follow a specific path, which is useful in narrow staircases or hallways. In our carpet cleaning test it was successful in cleaning carpets. However, it had a difficult time to clean rugs and carpets with thick piles. It is able to raise the mop pad when it comes in contact with carpet. This is a great feature for those who want to save the time of mopping their carpets.

The iMop comes with an onboard dust container and a water tank which it is filled and refilled at the end of each cleaning session. The dust bin that is onboard can hold up to 2.5 liters of debris and is only required to be emptying it every couple of cleaning cycles. The water tank can handle half a dozen mopping session before running out. The iMop is much easier to clean and maintain than a typical robot cleaner, and can be a major selling point for busy families.

The iMop smartphone app is simple to use and comes with a variety of configuration options. It comes with different suction settings, mopping settings and scheduling. It allows you to set up virtual walls, no-go zones and other restrictions so that the robot doesn't wander off into prohibited areas. Additionally, the app provides access to your iMop's status and error messages.
