Top Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos

While robots aren't able to replace a traditional vacuum for picking up ground-in debris such as metal screws or chunks of orzo pasta, they're excellent in sweeping dust, crumbs and pet hair. The most effective models come with smart robot vacuums navigation technology, which can help them avoid cords, toys and other household obstacles.

1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ is an excellent robot vacuum with many smart robot features that make it easier to maintain. The automatic bin emptying feature is one of the most impressive features we've seen in a robot vacuum. It's great on both carpets and hard floors. The app guides you through the entire process. It is also easy to use and set up. Another feature that is impressive is the ability to go back to the spot where it began in our tests. It did this for 77 minutes on one cleaning, before running out of battery.

In contrast to other robovacs that we tested, the i3+ EVO has self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's full. The i3+ EVO is able to prevent overfilling with a self-emptying bin. However it must be manually emptied at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's internal dust bin holds 2.4L of trash that is more than enough to last five or four cleaning sessions before you have to replace it.

Similar to the i7, this model uses state-of-the-art floor sensors to create maps and navigate in neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The i7 can also use its map to create no-go zones and virtual barriers, however the i3+ EVO can't.

The i3+ EVO is more effective of removing debris from the surface compared to some other robovacs that we have examined, but it's not the most effective in cleaning edges and corners. It's also more abrasive on furniture despite being relatively quiet. It pulled chairs away from walls, and made some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and became stuck on cords and toys while testing.

2. Black & Decker Pro Q5

The Q5 Pro is an excellent option, whether you're expanding your collection of robot vacuums or are just beginning to get started. It features a sleek design with a powerful navigation system, as well as useful automation at a reasonable price. It's the most affordable pound-for-pound model available today and is even better than some of Roborock's much pricier models in several ways.

This robot vacuum cleaner on sale is fantastic in cleaning floors that are dirty and its avoidance technology helps it to steer clear of furniture legs or other obstacles. It also does well on carpet and earns the top score in our navigation tests. The only snag is that it's louder than other models we test and doesn't perform as well in our owners satisfaction or predicted reliability tests.

The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust container of 770ml, which means that you won't have to empty it as often as other 2-in-1 robots. The Q5 Pro's 240-minute running time is also generous when contrasted with other 2-in-1 robots that we tested. When the battery is low, it will automatically return to its dock, where it recharges and resumes cleaning where it began. You can manage the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

This is one of the first robots we've seen to incorporate 3D mapping. This, along with other innovations, helped it perform exceptionally well in our tests of vacuuming and mopping tests. It allows you to plan cleaning schedules, create no-go zones and see the status of the battery as well as other things. The app is simple to use, but it doesn't support Apple HomeKit. This feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. As of early November, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to reflect that this feature is delayed until 2025. HomeKit is not compatible with other robots, but Siri Shortcuts are.

3. TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus

If you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that is able to mop and is affordable, the TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus is the right option. It is stylish in design and amazing features for the money. You can control it using the buttons on the device, via the app or even using voice commands. The device has a long battery life and the vacuum container is automatically empty.

The TP-Link RV30 Plus does a very good job at cleaning up normal messes and is suitable for light mopping on hard floors. It comes with a new sweeping brush and mopping cloth, aswell being an HEPA-filter. It can be used with a smart hub like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to allow voice control. The TP-Link RV30 Plus is easy to set up and is connected to a wide range of floor surfaces with the automatic mode. This ensures that the optimal results are achieved in each room and type of flooring.

You can select three cleaning robot price modes that will meet your needs. The vacuuming mode cleanses the entire room and utilizes the smart sensor to identify edges furniture, stairs, and other obstacles. The mopping mode is utilized to automatically clean the floor or to remove stubborn liquid spills and stains. Another option is to combine the two functions for a deep and thorough cleaning.

With a powerful suction and 3 settings for dry mopping, TP-Link RV30 Plus quickly picks up dust, pet hair, crumbs and other debris from all flooring types. It can also clean carpets without damaging them thanks to specially designed mops.

In its initial mapping run, TP-Link RV30 Plus scans your home and saves it using its dual navigation system of LiDAR and Gyro. The map can be edited in the app, and you can merge or split rooms as you'd prefer. You can also build virtual walls and no-go zones to prevent the RV30 Plus from straying into areas you don't wish to visit.

4. Eufy iMop

The Eufy iMop robot vacuum and mop is among the top fully-featured machines for hard flooring. It comes with a sophisticated navigation system that does an excellent job of mapping your home and even across several floor levels. The extremely well-designed base station virtually automates the cleaning process. It provides excellent obstacle avoidance and navigation.

This model uses an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to map out your home and devise efficient cleaning routes. The iMop was rated highly for its accuracy and navigation. It also did a great job of avoiding obstacles such as furniture. It also finds its way back to the base station if it is unable to recharge its batteries during an exercise of cleaning.

It also comes with a spot cleaning mode that allows you to clean or mop an part of your floor. It can also be programmed manually to follow a certain direction. This is great if you have narrow stairs or hallways. It was capable of cleaning carpets in our carpet cleaning test, but it struggled with thicker pile carpets and rugs. It is able to raise the mop pad when it comes into contact with carpet. This is a fantastic feature for those who want to not have to mop their carpets.

The iMop features an onboard dust bin and an water tank that is filled and refilled at the end of each cleaning session. The dust bin onboard can hold up to 2.5 liters and only needs to be cleaned every two cleaning cycles. The water tank can handle more than a dozen mopping sessions before it runs out. The iMop requires less maintenance and cleaning than the average cheap robot vacuum cleaner vacuum, which can be a major selling point for busy families.

The mobile app for iMop is simple to use and packed with options for setting up. It comes with a variety of suction modes, mopping settings and scheduling. It also lets you create virtual walls and no-go zones, so that the Robot Vacuum Cleaner Quiet isn't able to wander into rooms that are off limits. The app also allows access to the iMop status and errors messages.
