A robot cleaner commercial vacuum can keep your floors clean enough to reduce the frequency of manual hoovering. Choose one that has excellent navigation, is able to sweep corners and stairs, and has a large dust bin that requires emptying only periodically.
There are models that mop and charge themselves, which is a feature that is essential for families with pets or children. Many of the best inexpensive robot vacuum performers in our tests have great obstacles to avoid.
1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO is similar to its sibling, the i3 EVO. They differ only in the fact that the i3+ comes with self-emptying capabilities. That makes the i3+ a great choice for people who want an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but aren't afraid of having to empty their dust bin manually when it is full.
Both robots are proficient at removing surface dirt on hard floors and carpets, and they can easily move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home that help the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a manner that maximizes efficiency. However unlike the i7+ or other top rated robots we evaluated the i3+ doesn't have obstacle-avoidance capabilities, so it may get stuck on things such as socks or power cords and may have issues navigating across surface transitions like from hardwood to rug.
iRobot suggests cleaning up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes putting away any toys or other clutter it might come across. It's also a good idea to keep the bin and filter clean so that they aren't clogged by dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and empties the dirt into the station's dust bin. Then it continues cleaning from where it started. Battery life is about an hour-and-a-half of continuous use. It takes about three hours to fully charge.
2. Roomba from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model of the flagship line from iRobot and has the most up-to-date features. It has self-charging and self-navigating, but the most significant feature is its self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for regular maintenance.
The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor plans and their names thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, which lets it map rooms so it can clean them more efficiently. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule house cleaning robot jobs and direct your robot by voice or through the app.
In our tests, the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our second-placed model which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface kinds, including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though it self-empties its dust bin which eliminates a major source of maintenance and cuts down on the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot Vacuum cleaner ebay to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room, and to vacuum a particular area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. After connecting, we were able to give the i7+ voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and monitoring the performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car in a world of cordless vacuums that feel like minivans and buses. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in many households, but it also fits in well next to a coffee table or on shelves where you can move it around like the magic tool.
The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. The sophisticated whole-machine filter system captures allergens, and then releases fresh air into your home. The biggest issue with the V10 is its short run time. The claims of its marketing that it has up to 60 minutes of running time are misleading as CR's tests have shown. This is an average, not an exceptional, time for a battery-powered cordless vac. This is enough time to sweep the average-sized home however, it's not enough time to reach every spot. (A second time is usually sufficient). This doesn't mean that this model isn't a good choice It's lighter and more mobile than the older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming performance is significantly superior on carpets with a low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
The 694 is a standard robot vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have lots of money to invest in the latest model of robot. It's capable of sucking up most kinds of debris in our tests, and often goes over the same areas multiple times to ensure a thorough clean. Its flat front side helps it reach into corners and along the edges of walls, which is a nice feature.
Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt technology to avoid obstacles and navigate your home. However, it lacks the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, including our top picks, the i3+EVO and the j7+ Series. It can get stuck on phone cords or low furniture and is often unable to supply power before returning to its base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways to the Roomba 694 in that it has fewer components that require regular cleaning, is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtration system, incurs lower recurring cost, has more advanced automation abilities and is able to better navigate its own. It also has a bigger dustbin and can charge faster.

This feature lets you check in on pets or kids when you're away from home. The dustbin and filter can be washed to make cleanup quick and easy.
