Upgrades can sometimes increase the stats of a piece and sometimes even its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations applied.
For instance, the top shield of racial violence Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb capability in PvP or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in PvM. This makes it more exchangeable than the non-upgraded perfect version.
Reroll Tokens
