Are Item Upgrade As Important As Everyone Says
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can boost the power of a piece and, sometimes, even add extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements and how many random augmentations can be applied.
For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb ability in PvP or to add additional defenses on missile based designs in PvM. This makes it more marketable than the perfect non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens permit you to roll a purchased item such as a weapon, armor or ring. This allows you to swap the item for another of the same type with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens are an affordable option to upgrade equipment. They don't preserve the original item's level and any money wasted won't get compensated.
The survivors can acquire reroll tokens via a variety of methods like the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be located in crates and chests, or purchased from the market at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to change an attribute of the equipment that could include increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.
Players can roll their equipment in three aspects that include physical power, magical power, and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage done by weapons and melee attacks and spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.
Three types of rerolls tokens are available: upgrade items rare, legendary and rare. Each upgrade elevates the item to higher quality. To create them, you require a higher level token to reroll. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
In contrast to other special tokens and markers placed on Action spaces, the reroll marker remains in the space until the next successful result is to be rerolled. This helps to avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened, they will display a description and icon for the Ingredient or Appliance. The restaurant's shop will exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.
As a result, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This changes which blueprints the restaurant's shop sells for rerolls and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve armor, weapons and other items. These stones are special stones that boost the value of an item by improving its stats or characteristics. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. They can also be purchased by players who sign daily contracts.
To upgrade items their gear, players must first identify the appropriate item, and then click on the "level up" button. The menu will appear that shows the item's current status and what it will be when being leveled up, along with the required amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Typically, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires only one green or blue Growth Stone.
After deciding what to upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the appropriate cost. After the player has met the requirements, he is able to hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be raised in level by a certain percentage. Depending on the item's rarity and rarity, the upgrade process could be as quick as a few seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process also is risk-free and does not impact the longevity of the item. This makes it an excellent method for players to gain a significant advantage in combat without straining their bank account. Additionally, players can transfer the experience and advancement of an upgraded item to new gear by clicking on the "transfer" tab.
The process of getting Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty is a daunting task for novice players. There are many ways to obtain them. You can complete contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or collect them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. In addition, players can cut down the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that allows you to boost the effectiveness of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets as well as helms. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade materials will be consumed and the item will be upgraded to an upgraded level. This process can be repeated until the highest level of an item is reached.
Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as a blue icon beside their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, can't be added to more than one item at a time. Each upgrade component will require an amount of items as well as a certain level of equipment.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left, players can add an item that they wish to upgrade. On the right side, previews show what the gear looks like at its next level. When the player has enough items, pressing the yellow arrow will begin the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each upgrade, the stats of the base item will be increased by only a tiny amount. The maximum level of an item is 19.
Once an item reaches its maximum capacity, it will no longer have the option to upgrade. Likewise, once an item reaches the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades for that track will come with discounted prices.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be slotted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to give an additional bonus or effect while the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through questing or traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced by acquiring new ones. However, this will cause the old upgrade to be destroyed.
Requirements
Upgrades to items give players the ability to boost certain attributes of weapons and armor they currently have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary based on the item type, but typically you'll need Dilithium and a number of Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).
The items can be upgraded by adding item upgrade components to equipment and weapons. This will give them more effects or an improved level of the item. The upgrades can be acquired from various sources in the game, including through crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses or raids, or retrieved from dungeons. Once an upgrade component is added to an object it cannot be removed or replaced. However it is possible to swap glyphs freely.
The upgrade of an item can boost its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components come with additional modifiers that can improve the stats of the item upgrading.
The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun", for example, increases base defense and gives an additional 20% chance to block. Additionally the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial to some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players when they achieve the perfect roll. For example, a perfect-rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.
If you choose an upgrade component that you want to put into an item, the game will display an in-game window that lists the requirements required for that item upgrades. This includes the type of item (either Armor or Weapon) the level of the item as well as the Upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
The game will place an item in your inventory once you've fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then change to show you how far you are to finishing the upgrade. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader (your input here) NPC.
