Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've always wanted to buy a robot vacuum now is the time to get one. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often slough through). It's the first budget robot vacuum to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can instruct the robot to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily and leaves no trace of it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app that lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop with your voice.
Its design is a step above the competition and features a sleek, top piece that looks more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base automatic hoover robot Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to collect small gravel, sand and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot do this. And all this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.
The j7+, though not as smart as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine whether the update actually working until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the best self cleaning robot vacuum choice is probably hybrid. This kind of robot usually has a built-in water tank that allows them to mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock has some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent choice if you are willing to compromise to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few missed corners and on walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place it is done without difficulty. It also has a large LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessary feature for most people but it can help you keep track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum cleaner on sale vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and features are among the most advanced available however it's expensive.
Its base station looks good and is hidden when it's not in use, and the size is quite compact. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require you to perform this.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tried that does an excellent job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It's not able navigate stairs as well as competitors, and doesn't come with a dock that allows you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a vacuum robot that can do it all.
If you're looking to save money or don't want to think about the limitations of this robotic, there are plenty of other great choices available with a wide range of eufy models priced considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive and has more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile, and even high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for carpets and hard floors, as well as a mopping function at a reasonable price. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be located close to an outlet that has plenty of space to move.
The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious in comparison to other models. It is sleek with a black friday robot vacuum deals finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The most important aspect that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. It remembers the things it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It then returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.
The sleek G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with a set of boundaries that ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30, however is more affordable and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
