World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of an item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much they'll increase after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a high risk that the item may become obsolete or even break if it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, which is why it is recommended to place Glyphs in the most important places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each completed upgrade items Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set of bonuses. This could be a disadvantage, as the item can become more expensive even if you do not require it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, with a level 1 base and a different set of bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can use up lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value, allowing players to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player is repeatedly in or exits the water. It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item can be very useful in PvP battles, since a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each when you upgrade an item, it has the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to go to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance, attack damage, and all additional effects associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an Best item upgrade is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an Best item upgrade is dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade items will require different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the costs listed above.
