The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've test. They have top-of-the-line motors that can produce up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other premium iRobot models (including the top choice) they utilize smart mapping technology to create detailed floor plans and avoid common obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also feature the feature of Carpet Boost which boosts its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests of floors with no carpet, and they are particularly adept at cleaning dog hair. One of them is that the Q5's navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology, so it's prone to get caught up in shoes and socks and can't navigate tightly packed rooms very well in our tests.
