WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and is accessible anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. For instance, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which displays an image of the item at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the item slot, and the current item level. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items, including the main Island and some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and the possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrading upgrader at beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.

In Season 3, a number of new features have been added to the upgrade system. Once the player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This applies even if those items are from another set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is cut too, but it is only available after certain milestones are reached.

Crests

Players have a variety of options for upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an item upgrading level upgrade (https://writeablog.net) that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that Crests are only available to equipment of a certain rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complicated requires as many as 20 crests depending on the type of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulty for items of higher tier, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.

Using these new currencies isn't too complicated, but the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This is to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests with care, since they have only one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the best equipment available and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to create. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
