7 Things You ve Never Learned About Item Upgrade
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can increase the stats of a piece and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations used.
For example, the elite shield of racial violence Razortail is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorb function in PvP or to provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded perfect version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to reroll a purchased item like armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced by another of the same kind however with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. However, they do not retain the quality of the original item, and any wasted resources won't be compensated for.
The survivors can get Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests, or purchased at the local store for 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attribute of an item of equipment such as increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can reroll their equipment using three aspects: physical power, magic power, and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage that weapons and melee attacks and spell power boosts rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.
There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare, and legendary. Each upgrade elevates an item to a better quality, with the requirement of an upgraded reroll token in order to create it. Upgrades require a common item upgrader. Rare upgrades require an item that is unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
Unlike other special tokens and markers that are placed on action spaces the reroll marker stays on the space until the next successful result is to be rerolled. This allows you to avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. Once they're opened, they display a full description and icon of the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged to purchase a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's shop for a small amount of coins.
During a run, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool as a result of chosen Franchise Cards. This alters the blueprints that the restaurant's shop offers for rerolls and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons, armor, and accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that increase the level of an item by increasing its stats and attributes. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. In addition, players can get these stones by completing daily contracts.
To upgrade gear, the player must first locate the item then click the "level up button". This will show a list of the item's level, and what it will become after being leveled-up. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade a piece of gear will depend on its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone.
After choosing the item to upgrade, the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay the cost. When the requirements have been fulfilled, the player may select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a certain percentage. The upgrade process can take between a few seconds and minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is completely risk-free and does not affect the item's durability. This makes it an excellent way for players to get a significant advantage in combat without putting a strain on their bank accounts. By clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progress of an upgraded item to a new piece of gear.
The process of obtaining Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty is a daunting task for new players. However, there are numerous ways to acquire them, including completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests that are available during the Ancient Arena season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that allows players to increase the stats of their weapons armor, helms and trinkets. It is accomplished by combining an item with upgrades at the Upgrade Station and paying a fee in Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will consume the upgrade components and grant the item a higher level, granting the item an additional boost in the area. This process can be repeated until the maximum level of an item is reached.
Items that have upgraded base stats display an icon of blue in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments can't be added to more than one item at a time. Each upgrade component will require the purchase of a certain amount of items and a minimum equipment level.
The Upgrade Station has two slots: the left is where players can put in a piece of equipment that they wish to upgrade item, and the right slot shows a preview of what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Once players have enough materials by pressing the yellow arrow, it will initiate the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its stats will be increased by a small percentage. The maximum level for an item is 19.
When an item reaches its maximum level, its upgrades are no longer available for it. When a piece of equipment attains a certain upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be inserted into weapons, armors trinkets, gathering tools and other trinkets in order to provide an additional effect or bonus when the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted, acquired through questing, or traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, except for glyphs that can be replaced and removed at any time.
Requirements
Items upgrades allow players to increase certain attributes of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item differ based on the type of item but generally, you'll need Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
The upgrade items can be incorporated into equipment set pieces or weapons to provide extra effects or a higher quality item. These upgrades can be obtained from a variety of sources, such as crafting, purchasing at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component has been added to an object it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However it is possible to swap glyphs freely.
Upgrades to an item upgrader kit can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Certain upgrade components have additional modifiers that can boost the stats of the item.
For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and also adds an extra 20% chance to block. Additionally the dps upgrade items "Wildfire" increases damage to weapons.
Some items are better off being upgraded not so much for their improved stats, but because it allows players to get the most value from a perfect roll on the item. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by melee PvP communities and can be worth as much as 20-50 times the non-upp’d version.
If you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will show an open window that displays the necessary requirements. This includes the type of item (either weapon or armor), the tier of the item, the upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will place an item in your inventory after you have completed the prerequisites for an upgrade. The progress bar will then update to show how close you are to finishing the upgrade. You can also check on the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
