World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will increase 3% of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue level before a component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using less Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using standard methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-level version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear even if they are unsure what will be improved following a reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a high possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate the chances of failure, and some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as you can to level 15.

In the endgame, you will often find that the Best item upgrade way to improve your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Utilizing the Glyph will boost all nodes that are linked to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, however, you may also want to think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to leveling up an item level upgrade. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When a player upgrade the equipment they have the original item will be replaced with the new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could be more expensive even if you don't need it.

item upgrades (blog post from Google) can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, with the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonuses. This can be beneficial but it should not be repeated often since it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants a buff if the player continuously enters or exits the water. The item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of a unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The item upgrader allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and weapons) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to revert back to its original state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any gained bonuses such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in its crit chance the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is computed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its base value. For instance an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade items.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than normal equipment. For instance they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Players will still have to carry every piece of gear they want to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
