The Best Robot Hoover

The best robot vacuum cleaner and mop robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention. It will leave your floors spotless. Its low cost and features that are high-end (such as dirt detection) are great features.

Be sure to regularly inspect your robot's brushes for hair tangled and large debris and wash them if needed. Certain models also automatically empty the onboard dustbin and deposit it in an additional bin at the bottom. This can reduce the amount of fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've examined. They are equipped with motors that are top of the quality and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other iRobots with premium features (including the most powerful model) they employ smart mapping to create detailed floorplans that avoid obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also come with a feature called carpet boost that increases the robot's power when it detects the presence of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned up quickly.

Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our tests on floors that are bare, and they're particularly adept in removing pet hair. However, they have some flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. For one, the Q5's navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology, so it's prone to getting hung up on shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate tight spaces very efficiently in our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.

It's still a great deal for those whose office or home has lots of unfinished floors and you're looking to save some money. Additionally, it's quiet and can be used when you're at work or school. The only thing it doesn't have that you won't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stick very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with a self-emptying dock, though. And, if you need to change the mopping pad to dry ones in just a few just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that can also mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and fluid navigation make it simple to clean, and effective in dealing with larger particles, like pet hair. It also has a self-emptying bin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robotic mop and vacuum robot hoover for carpets, though it lags behind some competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mops utilizes sensors to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the structure of your home over time and provide cleaner and more efficient cleaning. You can change the schedule of cleaning and even customize zones using the app that is well-designed. It has a battery life that is similar to other models.

It is possible to instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and to extend them when it's in a carpeted area to prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm is also perfect to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It doesn't perform as well on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In the course of testing, X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to sweep the entire house, with 66 per cent of its battery remaining. It did a decent cleaning job on a variety of floors and rooms with different flooring types, including certain area rug. Its obstacle detection was top-notch, and it nimbly avoided fake dog socks, turds and cables.

It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but has superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It is able to clean floors even after it vacuums. This is something we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

This mop and vacuum combination has a sleek, circular design that looks much like a Roomba model than the boxy units of the competition. It is one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It comes with advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that scored an exemplary 10/10 in our testing due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot vacuum cleaners best in our tests that is fully self-refill and empty its base station, and it has an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

Like other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, offering an intuitive mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only real drawback is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device that could be a problem if you run it in the morning prior to work, or at night when you try to sleep.

It's also a bit expensive however, not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally impressive and attractive. If you're willing to live with a bit more noise and some extra cost, this is a very powerful two-in-one that will please almost everyone.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with a variety of sophisticated features to help you forget about your chores. Like Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that can take charge of both mopping and vacuuming, with a multi-function dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank, cleans and dry its mop pads.

The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floorplans and identify obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its competitors with premium features. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time hazards detection however this was not completely foolproof in our tests, and could be confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum cleaner comes with the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to do the job. It also has an attribute known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the automatic vacuum cleaner and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the house depending on how dirty the areas tend to be.

If you have a larger home, it's worth selecting a robot that comes with zones or spot cleaning modes. This allows you to tell the robot which area of your house needs to be cleaned using the app or voice control. A stairway mode is useful if you own a number of furniture. Additionally, a recharge and resume function that allows your robot vacuum to continue where it left off is great for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a cleaner with more intelligence than you might imagine from its price. It is a good vacuum cleaner and was able to remove 55% of debris in our tests. (It was only second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with a single pad and a reciprocating motion that cleans better that most of the robot mop cleaners that we've tried. And it's highly self-sufficient with a full-featured application and an auto-emptying washable base.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through an initial mapping exercise that collects information about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you mark on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, set up a spot clean or to prioritize your most filthy rooms to improve performance. The app also gives access to a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, which means it can reach corners and underneath furniture more easily. It also has a strong suction of 8,000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for pet hair. And you can set up a spot clean that thoroughly cleans a particular area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and cheaper alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It does a great job vacuuming, however it is more likely to get caught in low thresholds. It is also noisier than other top robot vacuums we have examined. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that can't be used as a bin for emptying.
