Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills effortlessly, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it using voice.

The design is also superior to the other models. It features a sleek, high-end piece that appears like toys rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a bit of grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. And all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.

While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent choice for those who require both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to determine if they are working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a water tank so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also come with a variety of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but usually lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is one of our top robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and although it lacks some of the features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go areas or alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.

If you select the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful in setting up schedules and altering settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help you effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly intelligent vacuum cleaner (Get More Information) in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and function are some of the best inexpensive robot vacuum on the market however it's expensive.

It's a small base station that looks stunning and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most expensive robot vacuum other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the only robovac that I've tested that does well at picking up the dust from floors with no. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it could get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It's not able to climb stairs as well as some competitors, and doesn't come with an dock that allows you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.

If you're looking to cut costs or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot vacuum cleaners, there are alternatives available. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of creating good robot vacuum vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of carpets and hard flooring, and a mopping function at a reasonable price. It's easy to set it up, simply snap on one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. It is recommended to keep the dock close to a power outlet and ample space for it to move however.

The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is more modest than other models, and features sleek black finishes and three buttons that are physical that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The most important aspect that distinguishes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. If it requires a recharge, it returns to its base and resumes cleaning where it began.

The sleek G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, offers a similar battery life, and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin that does not require as much emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is, however, is more affordable and a lot more manageable to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as often and has less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
