World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will gain 3percent of its previous attack damage every time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is that is used to upgrade item non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher tier version of the item upgrader mod will be available at the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure how much it will be improved following a reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process may be costly, and there is a significant possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes in a radius around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.

It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, so it is Best item upgrade to put Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the stats of specific items by introducing upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to leveling up an item upgrades. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This could be a disadvantage since the item may become more expensive even if you don't need it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens to be able to do this. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, but it shouldn't be done regularly, as it can waste many resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times which increases their value and allowing the player to customize their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like dolphins). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely valuable in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of the unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an item it has a chance to fail--the failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to revert to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned like the chance to crit attack damage, additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or reloading speed). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. However, players will have to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade item (click the next post) to equipment requires different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost mentioned above.
