How To Explain Item Upgrading To Your Boss
World of Warcraft - item upgrades Upgrading
The upgrade items of an item level upgrade allows players to increase the gear score of an item to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the Kiln.
Certain items can be upp'd for their unique stats (like a perfectly rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons don't change much post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. They also have an unchanging bonus that increases their damage per second. Some weapons also have a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a group. In some instances, this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage that a weapon is able to upgrade on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to rise until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.
The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. While this is usually beneficial, it can have some negative effects as well. Upgrades can make items inaccessible, unless you're extremely lucky.
Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their effectiveness. This can boost the base defense of a helm or chest while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may reroll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain when upgrading along with the relative value of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will strike for 3 fewer times because it's an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button that has arrows that circle in the menu for items. This will reroll the item and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level nor tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to curses, poisons fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to traverse difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense your character has the more value you will get out of each point of health you have, so it's important to upgrade your armor as often as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them each of which requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and mastered the fountain in question, you can then talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees needed for each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to stay ahead in cold environments with a lot of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you're able to survive a battle with your comrades.
It isn't possible to upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or spell power. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use to fight the final boss as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have some upgrades to the chest armor and helmets to allow you to get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by a participant, produce an immediate effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to increase their level of effectiveness. Additionally the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to the potions.
Potion upgrades require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained by crafting them on a crafting table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades is dependent on the type of potion you want to upgrade items, and also on the item's Mark Level and rarity.
To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This opens an GUI in which you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will yield when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not be degraded until you re-use it, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.
There were a few updates to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. For instance, splash potions now have a duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item hover display). The table of potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be combined in cauldrons. Also, putting a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the potion and replenishes the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions that are made using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The potion table is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added for instance, the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket could be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It could also be an object or ornament that serves a function but isn't essential, like a thimble. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets are able to be swapped out at will without losing their stats.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with gold, tokens or fragments of trinkets that are rare.
Upgrades to trinkets are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing an entirely new one. It is possible to upgrade players for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as the previous one, and will include an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded once the old ones are not needed, allowing a player to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an attractive alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most important items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other items of gear will not be replaced soon (for instance, a ring or cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when deciding which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players then they should consider upgrading their helm, chest and shoulders.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher ilvl once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade will destroy the old trinket until it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, but is still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
