World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template that ends in % will suffer 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item upgrader mod is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them; the item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

The player can have up to five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will appear during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of how much it will improve after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it is likely that the item will become obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate chance of failure, and a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.

You will often find in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15, and they provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the various Glyphs as well as also a few rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs You will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is Best item upgrade to put Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For instance, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes however, you may also want to be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be able to claim your upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a different item of the same type. The same armor will be upgraded to an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a problem because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not require it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens to be able to do this. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be useful but it should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player is repeatedly in or exits water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by 10 points. This Best item upgrader is very valuable in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of the unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to boost the quality of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Every time you upgrade an item, it has the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to return to its original condition which means that the player has to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained, such as chances to be crit damage to attack, additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in its crit chance it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its value. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade item.

Premium items may require different upgrades than standard gear. For example, they may need less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to carry each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
