WoW Upgrades - The item upgrades Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrade upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item upgrading is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

The upgrader is located in every major city, and is accessible anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item upgrader kit, however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased from item Level upgrade upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which displays an item's preview when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For example weapons are more expensive than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and the chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded, and can be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a positive and a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. Once a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This applies even if those items come from a different set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

Players have several options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more special and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment of a particular rank, and every rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, depending on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by doing dungeons or raids in all difficulty levels to obtain equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can then be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This is to allow players to get their equipment to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

Another notable modification is that crests have one use and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can locate and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, that will be able to benefit from the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with top-quality equipment.
