iRobot suggests that you clean up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it might come across. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filter clear to avoid becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO’s internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and emptys the dirt into the docking station's external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning where it started. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for about an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes around three hours to recharge.
2. iRobot i7+ Roomba
The iRobot i7+ is a top model from iRobot’s flagship line and comes with the latest technology. It has self-charging and self-navigating. However, the most significant feature is the self-emptying bin. This will eliminate the need for regular maintenance.

The i7+ is faster and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin, which removes major maintenance sources and reduces the cost of maintenance.
We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning routines and to move around the room and vacuum the area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. Once connected, to speak commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car in a sea of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, yet it is also small enough to fit on a coffee table or bookcase.
The V10 is powered with seven cells of energy-dense Lithium-ion batteries, which produces power that is not fading for 60 minutes. The sophisticated whole-machine filter system is able to trap allergens and then releases cleaner air into your home. Its specialized cleaning head drives bristles made of nylon that are stiff into carpet to collect large particles and fine dust. It has three different suction modes that can be adjusted to suit the task. It quickly converts from floor vac to handheld vacuum and back.
The model comes with a dock which charges the Dyson to 100% in 3.5 hours. It also offers an easy access to two attachments and a handheld. This is a significant improvement over older Dysons, which require a lengthy charge and are a pain to store.
The main issue with the V10 is its short running time. As CR's tests show, its claims to run up to 60 minutes are a bit misleading. This is a standard, not exceptional, battery-powered vacuum's run time. That's still enough run time to get rid of the majority of an average-sized house however, it's not enough to clean every area (though the second time around usually will suffice). This model has its own advantages however: it's light and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models, and its vacuuming ability is noticeable superior for carpet floors with low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
One of the most well-known robot vacuums, the 694 is a basic model that's a great option for those who don't want to invest too much money on a robot. It could pick up all kinds of debris in our testing and often went over the same area many times to ensure a thorough clean. Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it's not equipped with the mapping capabilities of more sophisticated models like our top selections, the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. The elegant RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for most purposes, because it has a better battery life, can change its suction power mode manually, comes with physical boundary strips, and can be operated by your phone's voice assistant. It is also more durable, has a stronger motor, and can perform better on floors with low pile and bare.
5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
Samsung is a well-known brand in home electronics. It's not a surprise that they are also among the top manufacturers of robot vacuums and mop. Jet Bot AI+ has an advanced onboard technology that allows to navigate and avoid obstacles.
The app gives you plenty of options to customize your robotic cleaner, such as virtual barriers mopping water levels, behavior customization, docking frequency settings, and much more. It's simple to comprehend and user-friendly, as is the case with other Samsung devices.
In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it cleaned up 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). However, it didn't do particularly well at avoiding higher-up objects like cords or socks which was disappointing.
