In our tests, the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our runner-up which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surfaces types including carpeting. The biggest benefit over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying, which eliminates a major source of maintenance and lowers the cost of maintenance.
We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to start, stop, or pause cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and to vacuum a particular area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. Once connected, to voice commands to the i7+ such as "Hey Alexa vacuum deals the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and evaluating performance.
