1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its most significant breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot sweeper to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly and leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off by speaking to it.

Its design is also an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand which other robots can't. And it did all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.

Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent choice for those who require both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's difficult to know whether the update actually working until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best option is probably a hybrid. This kind of robot usually comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. These bots also have many additional features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic floor vacuums vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with some of the features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it a great option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is an area where cheaper robot vacuums can really fail. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses along walls and in corners.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.

If you select the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It comes with a huge LCD screen that is very useful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessity for most people however it can help you keep the track of the maintenance intervals for your robot with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot floor cleaner vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.

Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is relatively compact. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that do very well at picking up debris on unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it could get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It also can't climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need an automated vacuum that can do everything.

If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are many other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpeted flooring, and mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to place the dock near a power outlet and plenty of Room Cleaning robot for it to move however.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it can fit under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious compared to some rival models. It has a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The most important characteristic that sets the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.

The eufy G30 has a few issues. The G30, on the other hand, is more affordable robot vacuum and is much simpler to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and has less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
