1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO
The i3+ EVO is identical to its sibling the i3 EVO. They differ only in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying capabilities. This makes the i3+ a great choice for people who want a hands-off, fully automated cleaning experience but don't mind manually emptying their robot's dustbin when it is full.
Both robots are proficient at picking up surface dirt on carpets and hard floors and are able to move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home that help the i3+ navigate and clean up efficiently. The i3+ isn't able to have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we test. It could be stuck on power cords or socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces like hardwood and rug.
iRobot suggests cleaning the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other items it might encounter. It's also a good idea to keep the bin and filter clear so they aren't clogged by dirt. When the i3+ EVO’s internal bin is empty or the battery is depleted, it returns to the docking station and automatically takes the dirt out of the docking station's dust bin. Then it continues cleaning where it left off. The battery's life span is approximately an hour and a half of continuous usage. It takes three hours to fully charge.

The i7+ is faster and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though it self-empties its dust bin that removes a major source of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.
We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines and move around the room and sweep an area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After connecting we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
In a world of cordless vacs that feel like minivans or buses, this small Dyson model is an old-fashioned sports car. It's got the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in many households and can fit in well next to a coffee table or on shelves where you can wave it around like an enchanted tool.
The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. The sophisticated whole-machine filter system traps allergens, then releases cleaner air into your home. The specially designed head utilizes stiff nylon bristles that penetrate deep into carpets, and then pick up large crumbs or fine dust. It's capable of sucking up most kinds of debris in our tests, and often goes over the same areas many times to get a really thorough clean. Its flat front design allows it to reach the corners and edges of walls.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to steer clear of obstacles and navigate your home. However, it isn't equipped with the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, such as our top picks, the i3+EVO and j7+ Series. It can get stuck on cords for phones or furniture that is low and often runs out of power before returning to its original location.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in many ways, as it has fewer parts that need regular cleaning, is fitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower recurring costs, comes with more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in moving itself.
