What is Evolution?

Both types of creationism reject the notion that scientific theories such as natural selection and abiogenesis could explain the origins of life on Earth. They argue that evolution is not possible because it would require the creation of a miracle, and the founders of modern science eschewed miracles for fear of losing credibility.

Some creationists accept naturalistic evolution as well as special creation, and call their belief "theistic evolution." It is sometimes referred to as "continuous creationism" or "evolution from the created species." In this view, God creates the original species and then allows them to change over time. These evolutionary changes eventually will result in new species similar to the original.

Other creationists believe that God created the universe and all living things during a single event, referred to as the Great Flood. Creationists believe that the original species were all created at the same time, and that they evolved gradually afterward. They also reject the concept of abiogenesis and argue that the emergence of self-replicating organisms from nonliving matter is not possible.

In general, creationists oppose teaching evolution at schools. On August 6th and 7th of 1993, KACR hosted a second International Symposium on Creation Research. It was held in conjunction with the opening of the World Expo in Daejeon. Six foreign lecturers including ICR's John Morris and Steven Austin presented to thousands of people. KACR and its members have been delivering lectures on creation science at major seminaries, too. KACR plans to establish a Creation Science Education Center.
