Why Item Upgrade Is Everywhere This Year

Upgrades can increase the power of a piece of equipment and, sometimes, even add extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements and how many random augmentations are applied.

The elite racial Shield Razortail for instance, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption function in PvP, and/or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the original version that is not upgraded.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens let you roll a purchased item like a weapon, armor or ring. This swaps the current item for a different one similar item with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective method of upgrading gear. However, they don't keep the quality of the original item, and any wasted resources will not be refunded.

The surviving players can acquire tokens to reroll in many ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be located in crates and chests or purchased from the store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute of the equipment that could include increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.

Players can roll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power increases the damage caused by weapons and melee attacks, while spell power improves rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player additional health.

Three types of rerolls tokens are available: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates an item to a better quality, with the requirement of a higher-level reroll token in order to produce it. Upgrades require a standard item. Rare upgrades require items that are either unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

The marker that rerolls, unlike markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces, remains on the space until the next success is rerolled. This allows you to avoid wasting upgrades.

Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase, and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they will display a description and icon for the Ingredient or Appliance. Blueprints can be exchanged to purchase a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's store for a small amount of money.

During the course of a run, blueprints can be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on the choice of Franchise Cards. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop can offer for rerolls and those that are located in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade weapons, armor and other accessories. These are special stones which increase the value of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. In addition, players can get these stones by signing daily contracts.

To upgrade gear players must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". The screen will show a summary of the item's level, and what it will become after being leveled-up. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade a piece of gear will depend on its rarity. Typically, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires a single green or blue Growth Stone.

After deciding what to upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. After the player has met the requirements, he can hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be raised in level by a certain percentage. Based on the rarity of the item the upgrade process can take anywhere from seconds to minutes.

The upgrade process also is risk-free and does not impact the durability of the item. This makes it an ideal way for players to gain an advantage in combat without putting stress on their bank account. By clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progress of an upgraded item onto an entirely new piece of equipment.

The process of obtaining Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be a challenge for new players. There are several methods to get the stones. You can finish contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or collect them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is an option that allows you to increase the effectiveness of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. It is achieved by the combination of an item with upgrade components at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee in Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will consume upgrade components and grant the item an upgrade level, giving the item an additional boost in that particular area. This process continues until the item reaches its highest level.

Items that have upgraded base stats display an icon of blue in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, cannot be added to more than one Best item upgrade at once. Each upgrade component will require a certain number of items as well as a certain level of equipment.

The Upgrade Station features two slots: the first is where players can add equipment that needs that they wish to upgrade, and the right slot shows a preview of what the gear will appear like when it reaches its next level. Once a player has enough materials and has pressed the yellow arrow will start the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each upgrade, the stats of the base item will increase by a small amount. The maximum level of an item is 19.

When an item reaches its maximum level, its upgrades are no longer available for it. In the same way, once an item reaches an upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades for that track will have discounted prices.

Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can slot into weapons, armors trinkets, gathering tools and other trinkets to give an additional benefit or bonus while the equipment is equipped. They can be purchased from vendors, looted or obtained by completing quests or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs which can be removed and replaced freely.

Requirements

Item upgrades give players the ability to boost certain stats of armor and weapons that they currently have. The requirements for upgrading an item vary depending on its type however, you'll generally require Dilithium along with a number Upgrade Tokens.

item level upgrade upgrade components can be incorporated into equipment set pieces and weapons for added effects or a higher quality item. These upgrades can be obtained from a variety of sources, including crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from raids and bosses. Once an upgrade element is added to an item, it isn't able to be removed or substituted without restriction, however glyphs placed in gathering tools can be swapped out without restriction.

Upgrades can increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity. In addition, certain upgrade components include additional modifiers that can increase the stats of an item.

For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and adds an extra 20% chance to block. Additionally the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases damage to weapons.

Certain items benefit from upgrading less because of their improved stats and more for the fact that it lets players get the most value from a flawless roll on the item. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.

If you choose an upgrade component to be inserted into an Best item upgrade the game will show a pop-up window that shows the necessary requirements. The game will display the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.

If you've fulfilled the requirements for upgrading, the game will place the item in your inventory and the progress bar will change to show how close you are to completing it. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
