Item upgrade, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment provides an increase in the linearity of the stats of a particular.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time in order to gain an indicator of the level of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item scales with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components
