However, they do have a few flaws that keep them from being our top choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to become stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate densely packed rooms very efficiently during our tests. It doesn't also have a camera to see around corners.

It's still a great option, especially if you want to save money on a iRobot Roomba and you have a mostly unfinished home or office. It's also very quiet and operates while you're at work or school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming feature that's offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with self-emptying docks, however. And, if you have to, you can switch the mopping pad to a dry one in minutes.

2. iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into a compact, sleek package. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it easy to clean and efficient at dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also comes with strong suction and a self-emptying bin. It's the best robot hoover; 120.26.46.180, for carpets but it falls behind some competitors in terms of deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mops utilizes sensor technology that can keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time and ensure more efficient cleaning. You can change its cleaning schedule and set up zones using the app that is well-designed. Its battery life is average when compared to similar models.

With an elegant circular design that looks like a regular Roomba than the competition's boxy units This robot vacuum and mop combo is among the most attractive designs in our reviews. The latest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent, with advanced features including enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).

It's the only robotic vacuum/mop to score 100% in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can fully autonomously refill and empty its base station and boasts an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It comes with a simple mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's still quite loud, which can be a problem if you run it in the morning before work or at night as you try to fall asleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, though it's not as pricey as Ecovacs X2 Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are equally powerful and look better. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's very capable, but it's more expensive and produce more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot cleaner with mop mop and vacuum. It has a range of features that are advanced and will make you forget about your chores. Similar to Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes charge of both vacuuming and mopping, with a multi-function dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank, washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floorplans and identify obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its top competitors. The vacuum cleaner has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to complete the task. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vac works and alters the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house according to the amount of dirt they tend to be.

If you have a larger home, you should consider selecting a robot that comes with spot or zone cleaning mode. This lets you tell the robot which area of your home needs to be cleaned with the help of an app or voice control. A stair mode can be useful if you own a lot furniture. Also the recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum continue where it left off is ideal for busy families.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is more intelligent than its price would suggest. It has a great vacuuming performance, picking up 55% debris in our tests. (It was only second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with a single pad and a reciprocating movement that cleans better that most of the mop cleaners with robots that we've tested. It's also self-sufficient with a fully-featured app, and a self emptying base that is washable.

The iRobot app is designed to guide you through an exercise in mapping that collects data on your floorplan and any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. You can use it to create cleaning schedules, plan the perfect spot for cleaning or prioritise your dirtiest rooms to ensure better performance. The app also grants access to a host of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, which means it can reach corners and under furniture more easily. It is equipped with a powerful 8000 Pascal suction and sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. You can also create a spot-cleaner that will thoroughly clean a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and cheaper alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It's good at vacuuming, but it is more susceptible to be caught by low thresholds and is a bit noisier than the other top robot vacuums we've tried. It also has a less user-friendly app and a tiny base station that isn't able to double as a bin for emptying.
