The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums can really fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled using a handful of buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or change the room's label.

If you select the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and features are some of the best automatic floor cleaner on the market however it's expensive.

It's a tiny base station that looks beautiful and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that does very well at cleaning up debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robotvacs. This means it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It can't navigate stairs as well as some competitors, either and it doesn't have a dock that lets the user to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't have the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price price.

However, if you're looking to save some cash or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other great choices available, including a lot of eufy models that cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers the same experience in the app, but with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
