The latest model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It features advanced features, like enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads on its own).

It's also the only robot vacuum or mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our testing. This is due to a mix of high-tech sensors including a structured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

As with other iRobot models, the X40 is user-friendly, offering an easy mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only downside is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This can be a concern in the mornings before work, or in the evening when you're trying to fall asleep.
