The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart vacuum mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its most notable innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to recognize objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop that we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills easily, leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it with your voice.

Its design is superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robotic rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ swiftly removed dust, dirt, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it all over the floor. It was able to capture small gravel, sand and even a little grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.

The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it isn't able to clean the stairs, is an excellent choice for those who need both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to tell if they are working until you actually see them in action.

2. Best Roborock Vacuum Q5+

When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. These robots come with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart robot mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They're expensive at full retail but often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it lacks some of the premium features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is an area which many robot vacuums fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is superb, with only a few mishaps on walls and corners.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas or alter your home map, or change the room's label.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place, emptying the bin is done with relative ease. It also has an impressive LCD display that is great to have when creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't necessary for the majority of people, but it can help you effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot floor cleaner vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design and features are some of the most advanced available however, it's also expensive.

The base station is attractive and hides it when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The station's most appealing point is how it automates numerous tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovac I've tried that does well at picking up dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it could get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It can't navigate stairs as well as some competitors, and doesn't come with an dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't have the same amount of cleaning-related options in its app or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price tag.

However, if you're looking to save some money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robot there are many other great choices on the market which include a variety of eufy models for substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac g30

Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on carpets and hard floors, as well as a mopping function at a reasonable price. It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The main feature that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to create a picture of the immovable items in its path. It can remember the things it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. If it requires a recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it began.

The sleek G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, has a similar battery life, and performs better on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30, however is more affordable and much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't need emptying as often and it has less trouble with heavy materials such as cereal.
