Certain scientists and educational institutions are, however, more flexible and allow creationism and evolution to be included in their curriculum.

The publishers of high school textbooks have recently announced that they will remove references to evolution from their editions. A group known as the Society for Textbook Revise (STR), an independent body that is an offshoot of the Korea Association for Creation Research and has been the driving force behind the move. STR has achieved its first victory in taking away examples of the evolution of the horse and an avian ancestor, the Archeopteryx, from textbooks. STR claims that it has the support of 4,000 families and members.
