1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum cleaner price vacuum to date. Its greatest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of an object it encounters to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot cleaner we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.

The design is also superior to the competition. It has a sleek, top piece that appears like an toy, not the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal System is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It even managed to take small gravel and sand that other robots aren't able to do. And it did all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.

While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ self cleaning vacuum-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and at times it's difficult to tell whether the update actually working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best choice is probably hybrid. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water that allows them to vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also come with various additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our most loved robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't perform to the standards. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and although it's not equipped with certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like tables and walls, which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem which many robot vacuums be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is also excellent, with few misses along walls or in corners.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled with a handful of buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place it is done without difficulty. It also features an impressive LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone but it can assist you in keeping the track of your robot's maintenance intervals effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart robot vacuums, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the best in the industry, but it's expensive.

It's a small base station that looks great and is easily hidden when not in use. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require this.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the only robovac I've tried that does an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It can't climb stairs as well as some competitors, either, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does it all.

If you're looking for a way to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. A lot of eufy models are significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with more features, including stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac g30

Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's simple to set up, just connect one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be placed close to an outlet that has plenty of room to move.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be placed under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little more modest than other models, and features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The primary aspect that sets the G30 apart from its competitors is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It then returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.

The elegant G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges faster and has a similar battery life. It also offers better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin, which does not require as much emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30, however is less expensive and a lot more manageable to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be emptied as often, and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
