The i3+ isn't able to have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or any other top-rated robots that we test. It could be stuck on power cords and socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces, like rug and hardwood.

iRobot suggests cleaning the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it might come across. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filters free of dirt to prevent them from getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is filled or the battery is depleted it goes back to its docking station and automatically empties its debris into the station's external dustbin and continues cleaning the area where it started. The battery's life span is approximately an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes 3 hours to charge.

2. iRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in the iRobot flagship line, and it is equipped with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. the most important feature of all -- it comes with an auto-emptying dustbin, which eliminates one of the main sources of maintenance for any self-cleaning robot vacuums vacuum.

The Roomba I7+ is able to better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and direct your robot by voice or via the app.

In our tests the i7+ performed quicker and more maneuverable than our runner-up, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surfaces types, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin, which removes major maintenance sources and reduces recurring cost.

We were also impressed with the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to begin or stop cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room, and vacuum a particular area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. Once connected, to give voice commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The main drawback of the V10 is its limited run time. Its marketing claims that it has up to 60 minutes of running time are not true, as CR's testing shows. This is a typical not an extraordinary time to run an electric cordless vacuum powered by batteries. It's enough time to clean a typical-sized home however, it's not enough time to get into every corner. (A second run usually works). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models, and its vacuuming ability is noticeably superior for carpet floors with low pile.

The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's a great choice for those who don't have a lot of money to spend on an expensive robot vacuum cleaner quiet. It's capable of sucking up a variety of debris types and sizes during our tests, and it often passes over the same areas several times to ensure a thorough clean. Its flat front side helps it to reach into corners and along the edges of walls which is a nice feature.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate around your home, but it's not equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models like our top picks and the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. As a result, it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords and low furniture, and it often will run out of battery before making it back to its home base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways over the Roomba 694 because it has less parts that require regular cleaning, is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtration system, incurs lower cost of recurring costs, has more advanced automation abilities and is better able to move itself. It also has a larger dustbin and charges faster.

The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 in most purposes, as it has a longer battery life, can change the suction power mode by hand and has physical boundary strips, and is operated by your phone's voice assistant. It's also more durable, has a stronger motor, and can perform better on floors with low pile and bare.

Samsung is a well-known brand in home electronics. It's not surprising, then, that they are also among the top producers of robot vacuums and mop. Jet Bot AI+ has an advanced onboard technology that allows for navigation and obstacle avoidance.

The app offers a variety of options for customizing your robotic cleaner. This includes virtual barriers, mopping levels and behavior modifications docking frequency settings and more. The app is simple to use and understand, just like other Samsung devices.

In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It cleaned up 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). However, it didn't do particularly well at avoiding taller objects like cords and socks which was a disappointment. It's also more expensive than the other models we've tested which could be a deterrent for some buyers.
