iRobot recommends that you tidy the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes putting away any toys or other clutter it might encounter. The i7+ is more efficient and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin which eliminates the main sources of maintenance and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and to move around the room, and even vacuum an area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. When connected to these services, we were able use the i7+'s voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and evaluating the performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world of cordless vacs that are like minivans and buses, this small Dyson model is a sports car. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of households however, it can also fit nicely on the table for a coffee or shelves where you can move it around like the magic tool.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery which produces energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filtration system removes allergens, and then releases cleaner air back into your home. Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it isn't equipped with the ability to map that comes with more advanced models like our top choices such as the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. This means that it can sometimes get stuck on things like phone cords or low furniture, and it frequently will run out of battery before making it back to its home base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in all aspects because it has fewer parts that need regular cleaning, is fitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower recurring costs, comes with more advanced automation capabilities and does a better job maneuvering itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and can charge faster.

The app allows you to steer the robot manually, if necessary. For example, my living room rug has a darkly colored border that can make it difficult for other robots I've tested. However the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border without registering it as a cliff. The ability to program a weekly cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving convenience.
